DENISE ROBERTSON-PAZ, is a paraprofessional and Digital Brands Coordinator for domain name registration and renewal. Ms. Robertson-Paz joined the New York Office in 1984 and has been a paralegal in the Trademark Department since 1989.

RITA AUGUSTO, is a paraprofessional and Manager of the Trademark Renewal Department. Ms. Augusto earned her B.A. from Queens College, New York and joined the New York office in 1976. She has extensive experience in renewals and maintenance of trademarks, worldwide and renewals of Top Level and Country Top Level domain names.

DENNIS S. PRAHL, is a partner at Ladas & Parry LLP, resident in the New York office. He specializes in the areas of international trademark, copyright, right of publicity, domain names and unfair competition. He received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern College and his J.D. from New York Law School and holds a Diploma in Advanced International Legal Studies from the McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Prahl is a member of the New York Bar and is also a member of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriete Industrielle, the United States Group of AIPPI, and the New York County Lawyers' Association and its Committees on Foreign and International Law and on Intellectual Property. Mr. Prahl has authored and co-authored several publications, and has lectured widely, on the topics of trademarks, unfair competition, merchandising and domain name protection and enforcement.

SCOTT J. LEBSON
, Associate Attorney in the Mergers, Acquisitions and Licensing Group of Ladas & Parry LLP. Mr. Lebson received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Lebson specializes in commercial transactions involving the acquisition, divestiture, assignment and licensing of domain names, and is an active member of the Licensing Executives Society (United States and Canada). He has authored several articles on the commercial aspects of intellectual property, including his most recent article "Transfer of Intellectual Property upon Merger or Acquisition" featured in the recently released book in the John Wiley M&A Series, titled "Intellectual Property Assets in Mergers and Acquisitions". He is admitted to practice before the New York State Bar.

MATTHEW D. ASBELL is an Associate of Ladas & Parry LLP. Matthew primarily practices trademark and patent law, both domestically and internationally. With a diverse background in the entertainment industry, information technology, and medicine and proficiency in several languages, he is comfortable working with a wide range of clients. His certification as a Social Media Strategist further supports his ability to handle complex intellectual property matters arising in the Web 2.0 space.

Matthew received his B.S. in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and attended the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He received his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was president of the Intellectual Property Law Society and Acquisitions Editor of the top-ranked Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal. As an active alumnus, he serves on the Cardozo Alumni Executive Committee, chairs the Alumni Intellectual Property Committee, and mentors several law students.

Matthew is an active member of the American Bar Association, in which he has been appointed a Young Lawyer Fellow of the Section of Intellectual Property Law, and has served as Vice Chair of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Young Lawyers Division. He has chaired the Young Lawyers Committee of the New York State Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, and is an active member of several other bar association committees related to intellectual property. Matthew has authored and co-authored publications and given presentations on the topics of trademark, licensing, copyright, patent, broadcasting and internet and privacy law.
